Bloc Party Coming Back to Los Angeles Proper

As much as we really wanted to see Bloc Party play for 20 minutes in the bright sun at 1:00 pm on the Budweiser side stage at the Verizon Wireless Ampetheater in Irvine, we are relieved to learn that B.P. will announce a pair of their own headlining gigs at The El Rey on June 3 & 4. The shows have been hinted at for some time, but they could not publicize the dates until Coachella and the Weenie Roast were either over or sold out. Tickets are not on sale yet, but we’ll throw up a link when they are.
