Built to Spill @ House of Blues
This is what indie rock is all about. Frontman Doug Martsch isn’t pretty, doesn’t care for the spotlight, writes epic songs that are familiar yet unpredictable and puts on a hell of a live show. Catch BTS Thursday or Friday at the House of Blues.

Your forgot Martsch rocks a beard–essential to The Indie Rock (page 38 in the manual). It might not be as good a beard as that guy’s from Les Savvy Fav or the guy from Iron & Wine or for that matter, the guy from My Morning Jacket, but still a solid beard. More of a well groomed beard. He probably uses one of those Conair trimmers. But I guess this is moot since they’re on Warner Bros recs anyhow.
