In the beginning there was Connie Chung. After breaking out on LA’s local news scene, Connie’s rise to national prominence paved the way for the likes of Tritia Toyota, Wendy Tokuda and Sharon Tay. Today, every local TV news team in Los Angeles enforces a strict two Asian minimum. Let’s get to know our current crop of Asian newscasters…

Ciao All! It is unfortunate about Mia Lee. But we must appreciate her fighting spirit. Hair coloring, lip injections, LARGE breast implants. She will not give up w/o a fight! She knows she is going downhill and will do whatever it takes to stay in the top 3. $$ fixes many shortcomings. Angela Chi and Jane Monreal are easy to look at.
Mia is still my favorite newsbabe of all tie and will always be. She is a one of a kind woman. She needs to be seen in HD to really see her beauty and I hope there is some way her legs are visible when they start broadcasting in their new studios.

Hello everyone, I’m Duke Melrose. Most of you know me as the man who loves asian newscasters. Sharon Tay and Mia Lee ave my favs. Channel 4 has recently hired a new morning weather girl by the name of Elita Loresca. This chick is HOT! She has two huge weather fronts on her chest and she always wears tight sweaters to enhance those snowballs of love. I bet she is a tornado in bed. Let me know what you guys think.

Regarding Mia Lee, I just watched the Channel Nine News at Noon for the first time in a long while and I got a gander at Ms. Lee. Wow, what a shocker.
I never thought of her as a beauty (I remember her as having a very very round face before), but now, (anything I will say at this point would be very mean to say to her personally) I see that she looks like she went to Joan Rivers’ hack plastic surgeon.
Well, she has to live with it. She now seems like one of those plastic surgeon addicts.
She’s no beauty in my book (who cares about my book anyways).
Sharon Tay is the true Asian-American beauty. Most of the Asian-American newscaster females, in my opinion, were not great Asian-American beauties, these newscasters (from Tricia Toyota to Connie Chung to Tricia Takasugi, etc. etc.) were rather pedestrian. Not ugly, attractive, but not pretty.
There was also Carol Lin, who was cute, who went on to anchor at CNN.
Maria Quiban is hot in a trashy type of way, but she loses points whenever she speaks (she sounds like a mindless bubblehead) and she speaks too much. She is no beauty, but her youth is her ally. I don’t think she has much shelf-life as a newscaster after 2010. There are probably better uses for that pretty mouth. I agree her colleague Loren Sanchez is also very skanky too.
Speaking of Latinas, my favorite good looking one is David Ono’s pairiing, Ellen Leyva (he works with her a lot)… I think she is beautiful.
The aging Laura Diaz of KCBS local news still has the prettiest mouth around!
I do actually feel sorry for Mia Lee. What a horrible mistake, especially for elective surgery.
MusubiMas, I appreciate your comments about our local news anchors. I especially agree with your thoughts on Mia Lee. Yes she has had too much surgery, yes she will probably get more. Mia Lee has always had a large face – some say ‘bobble head.’ So what. As she’s aged, her head has remained large. Thank goodness her boobs got bigger with age. And her lips. She’s hot. Only complaints: not so much fake-tan, and wear cleavage-revealing clothing. You got it, so flaunt it!

Now, as far as Mia Lee is concerned: WTF?
I believe she has some serious pyche issues with regards to her self image – way beyond normal insecurites. She doesn’t know how to talk without using her over-inflated chest – reminds me of some cheezy porn. It’s hideous. It’s horrible!
I just saw a commercial yesterday with all the women anchors of ch 2 & 9. They only used one little clip of Mia, while using several from the other women – why? Because she sucks and she was distracting from the real topic – women and cancer.
You know how some reporters have a little twitch when they speak sometimes? Mia’s is in her chest & shoulders. Watch her next time – it’s as if when she’s speaking, she reminds herself to “stay poised” and in doing so, keeps jetting out her chest every 5 seconds. Maybe she’s getting an electrical shock between her shoulder blades???
How in hell can a SANE person judge her “journalism” (reading from a prompter, if that’s considered journalism)when they are forced to watch the freak show instead? (Btw, Any SANE person wouldn’t get turned on by this display).

The best looking female Asian news broadcaster in SoCal is Sharon Tay, IMO.
And though she’s 40-ish, the years don’t show at all. Maybe it’s those good ol’ Asian genes and healthy living, but it certainly has nothing to do with plastic or any other synthetic products, I believe.

Very funny descriptions of the anchors and reporters. yes, Sharon Tay is still the Gold Standard. met her once at Chaya Venice when i lived in LA. bought her a drink and chatted. Mia’s boobs are really distracting, but thats exactly the reason I watch channel 9 news at 2pm. She has a great personality and I like it when she makes comments that leaves co-anchor Dave speachless. Thats happened a couple of times. However SHARON TAY is by far the hottest anchor that I have seen so far asian or otherwise. Also, I remember Jan Carl from channel 5 news in the 90′s. She was a pretty hot blonde. Shes on the ET show now I believe.
That Filipina weather girl on channel 4 Loresca? has enormous cans. Seriously, she even puts Jackie Johnson to shame.
I think Leyena Nguyen is the gold standard. Too bad she’s married with another child on the way now. Sharon is hot and single. :) And Suzie Suh is also hot. KCAL has the highest quotient it seems.
