The entire city was also blanketed in snow at least once in both the 1930's and the 1920's. I know because I've seen photos of all my family's homes covered in show during each of those storms. Someone should put together a site of LA in the snow - and I would imagine there whould be a lot of filmed footage out there, but I have never seen any of it.
