Thanks for the 4-month heads up on DOS @ THE SMELL! I just passed by there and saw several hardcore DOS fans sleeping on the sidewalk on Spring St. waiting for those tickets!

I’m a fan of the Smell and all its shadiness. Any act that isn’t completely shitty warrants a heads up.

Don’t be hatin’ on Mike Watt, Smith-Joneses.

Built to Spill is a surprisingly uninteresting live act. Maybe they were just really bored on the summer ‘04 tour, but I left quite unimpressed. At least Dug made sure to encore with “Carry the Zero.”

First time I saw BTS I was also unimpressed. I gave them another chance last year and they were easily one of my favorite shows of 2005. Give them another shot, Pete–it’s the Troub.

True–when I saw them, it was at the Anaheim/Downtown Disney House of Blues, which is probably the least inspiring music venue in human history.
