Losanjealous Concert Picks: May 22 – 28

By - Monday May 22nd 2006

Visit our concert calendar for a full show list, links to buy tickets and our top picks.

brainfreezePICK OF THE WEEK: Jurassic 5, Dilated Peoples, DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist, Supernatural, Beat Junkies, Madlib, MF Doom @ Mayan
The $75 ticket price is hard to swallow, I hear ya. But 100% of proceeds from this show will go towards Keith Tamashiro’s medical expenses and rehabilitation. And if you go I guarantee good Radiohead ticket karma–you’ll need it.

Sasha, tell us how Voxtrot are if you get there in time.

It’s every man, woman and child for themselves when it comes to Radiohead tix, Oscar. Hope you have a strategy in place. Good luck.

Diego–I can’t in good faith list tribute bands. Unless of course we’re talking about Tiny or Mini KISS.

It’s on lockdown V. No worries here!

    F-A,

Sorry, it’s still work/school ditching time if you want Radiohead. Sale for both dates still on Thursday.

Mexamatosis–we have a robust algorithm to calculate who makes the calendar. Factors include musical ability, showmanship, venue, artist selloutedness, relevance and buzz. The numbers just weren’t there for Madonna.

Got Radiohead Thursday! Section C. Better than nothing and paying scalper prices. My friend tried at the exact same time for Friday, no dice. Any luck V?

I’m going to the benefit show tonight! Karma does work =) See ya there!

  16. Posted by V 5/25/06 at 4:32 pm #

Oscar– No luck here on Radiohead tix. I snoozed and I loosed. I have a sneaking suspicion something is going to happen quietly on their WASTE ticket site at some point in the next few days…

THE ORACLE HAS SPOKEN. V, I bet you didn’t purchase tickets to the Keith Tamashiro benefit show.

Went to the Keith Tamashiro benefit. Show was awesome! MF Doom & Mad Lib cancelled though….
    The goodie bags were cool!
