Brookville is the side project of Andy Chase, who is (was?) one-half of the indie cult faves Ivy. The new record Life in the Shadeis as shiny a pop record as you might imagine given his pedigree, full of perfect summertime tunes to sit in traffic to on PCH. It has guest appearances by members of Fountains of Wayne and Brazillian Girls, but, even better still, features Compton’s, own Eric Matthews on horns and vocals.
