I believe he thinks everyone that goes here is half drunk. So if you give him a $20 or $100 bill. He might only give you change for $10. I happen to complain to the owner a young guy seated at the bar. But he just took off and did nothing. I promised them I'd never set foot there again. I lived in Hollywood for almost 30 years and was forced to relocate thanks to the so called "Gentrification" and now I hear one of my favourite places is gonna be turned into some bullshit hotel?? Christ, it's bad enough that I lost my job because they kicked my boss out of the space he'd been renting for over 38 years, I lost my apartment when I was forced to relocate from one part of my building to another because they were "restoring" that section and could no longer afford the new rent I was required to pay ( I went from $400.00 a month to $1200.00)...now they're tearing down the oldest gay bar in Los Angeles just so some stupid schlub can build some ridiculous tourist trap that'll only do business for three months out of the year?? I can't believe it....I just can't fucking believe it. What the hell is this shit I hear about the Spotlight being torn down for a fucking “boutique hotel”???? I met some pretty crazy peeps there but for the most part, I met people that I grew to love and never forget. I now live in a very small town in northeast wi but stay in touch with my good friends there.
