Mutations: The Art of Jim Winters @ Retropia
San Francisco artist Jim Winters’ subject matter often conveys a sense of humor and an appreciation of irony. Opening Reception Friday, July 28th 7-11 pm. Through Thu 8/31.
Blessing of the Cars
The all-day and into-the-night annual affair, held at Hansen Dam, begins with a mass morning blessing by a Catholic priest, who then goes car to car, blessing each individually. Some people also ask him put holy water in their radiators.
Cannibal Flower @ Copro Nason
Cannibal Flower is a portable venue for the arts that showcases art, music, dance, film, projections, magic and fashion shows. It started in 2000 as a means for a group of friends to showcase their art and music without having to deal with the politics of the conventional gallery.
Cinespia: Manhattan @ Hollywood Forever Cemetary
This bittersweet comedy is Allen’s love letter to the City of New York. Bring blankets, drinks and picnic dinner for this special screening below (and above) the stars. DJ John Tripp spins before and after the screening.
Dragon Boat Festival
