The week we’ve all been waiting for has arrived! Stylish-yet-affordable European apparel retailer H&M finally opens the doors on it’s first Los Angeles area store in Pasadena this Thursday, September 21 at 12 noon!

From what i understand they’re going to have a live, painted elephant @ the grand opening. Should be big.
I didn’t know this opened this Thursday. :D Yeah, they got good stuff for not-so-expensive prices. At least that’s how it is everywhere else. I’d hate to think they’ll break THAT mold just ‘cuz they’ll be situated next to a Tiffany’s *ugh*.
They should’ve launched it on Talk Like a Pirate day. would that be aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrr-ful?
and why do all XL H&M clothes fit like they’re mediums. I mean c’mon. My worst memory is 4 h&m’s in manhattan and not a GODDAMMNED thing that fit me. we’ll just see.
I do hope there will be another countdown for the Hollywood store. Please don’t disappoint me.

while shopping in the san francisco h&m, i tore my rotator cuff (or something like that-i don’t remember, i was loaded on vicodin). drove up from los angeles and got there at 6am for the stella mccartney line.
it was so worth the trip. i will definitely be in pasadena tomorrow.
im so bummed that theres no men’s selection. We have been waiting for H&M too. now the wait continutes till LA opens
I’m so excited that there will be one closer to me (I’m in San Diego). I was about to take a trip to San Fran to see if it is really the same as the stores back east. Every year I go back east and stock up at H&M (last year was NJ with no sales tax ;) ). Every time I hear that a friend is going to New York I tell them that they must go to one of the stores. When they get back, they know exactly why I push that store as if I owned it! Have fun shopping! I’ll be up there very soon. BTW, the XLG is more like a LG (it all depends on the cut/style).

I was there since 12:30 am and it was totally worth it, won a card with $50 and my sister won a card with $300, it is for sure a day that is going to live in my hear for ever.

there’s supposed to be one opening at 3rd st. promenade in santa monica too soon….h & m is the best.
Just got back from there right now. It’s been three days since the opening, and I went at 4pm (two hours before closing), figuring the craze should have died down a little by now. Geez was I wrong. When I got there, the line was wrapped around the side of the building just to get in! I couldn’t even get a catalogue because they ran out. Oh well. Next time!
i went yesterday too and it was insane – the store and selection is much smaller than the ones in NY, etc. i think i’ll try the beverly center…
i went opening day to take some pictures since i live in the area and ended up standing in line (click on my name for pics). i had parking meter issues, so i couldn’t buy anything, but i thought i’d return a few days later. um, no, that didn’t work out either–the line was still around the block. for the amount of time the store requires me to stand in line, i could probably earn enough at work to buy something from prada, or at least miu miu!
