Narcileptic (‘när-s&-’lep-tik) adj.
- A person who falls asleep at inappropriate times and dreams only of him/herself.
- A narcoleptic narcissist.
Waiting in the casting office, narcileptic Chris fell into a deep sleep and dreamt of the wonderfulness of Chris.

This reminded me of a Volkswagon commercial released back in ‘81 called “Dreaming of Me.” Though I believe Gahan was more of a narcotics fan than a narcoleptic. What about narcoticissist?
now, ryan. isn’t it narcOleptic, with an O? or am i high? you tell me. i’m kinda olde and not super-hip w/ regard to the lingo of today.
I believe that the answer to that question is very simple, spelling police. Narcileptic is a cleverly made up word that uses part of narcisstic and narcoleptic to relay its very clever meaning.
yes, now i get it. being neither narcissistic nor narcoleptic, i didn’t catch it right off. my bad. indeed, clever.
actually, now that i think of it, i have no leg to stand upon. i don’t even use caps. i’m sure the grammar police would have a field day with me.
maybe the “s” sound may have been more obvious if the “i” was changed to a “y” perhaps?
