    Wow,

    3 Days. Good times.

I missed Tokyo Police Club when they were here last. Looking forward to that. In this new Inconveniently Truthfully heated world, do you think it will break 130 degrees this year?

    “Coachella 2007 – 3 days of crap”

Are you kidding me? Talk about ‘ridiculously high standards’. Maybe they should clone Bradley Nowell, deprogram Axel Rose, and de-pedophile Michael Jackson for you?

This is the best festival line-up I’ve seen in a long, long time.

I see no Manwhore on that flyer

All I see is RAGE MUTHAFUCKIN AGAINST THE MUTHAFUCKIN MACHINE in big-ass gold letters with flames around them.

The 1st day looks pretty good.

Saw Rage at the 1st Coachella and they kicked ass. I hope they’re well-rehearsed this time around. And that Chris Cornell doesn’t stumble on-stage drunk and shirtless.

Look for extra Che shirts and Castro hats on Sunday. Maybe a few old school Russian Olympic hockey jerseys as the sun goes down.

    Damn Coachella!
Damn them for making me spend all that money.
Damn them for making me drive all those miles to see extraordinary music.
Damn them for making me spend three days in heat God wouldn’t even want to be a part of.
    Damn them!

Coachella also means less good shows in L.A. but the ever popular “secret club show” for some of these bands. We’ll see.

It’s too bad the rumors I had heard regarding the Police reuiniting and making their debut at Cohcella doesn’t seem to be coming true :-(

  11. Posted by Frank 1/23/07 at 2:46 pm # Reply

    Don’t lose hope.
The KROQ password for presale is “Roxanne”
    Ithink the Police will play.

I would crap myself if Tom Waits Played!!!

For everyone going to see Rage Against The Machine, This is a one time show. They are not back together.

I second Frank’s sentiment. If only the Red Hot Chili Peppers could magically shapeshift into Tom Waits. OR Portishead. Every year I hope to beJebus that Portishead shows up and descends from triphop heaven to make us all believers and every year I just take naps in the beer tent to compensate for the deep sadness I feel.

But seriously. Everyone go see Willie Nelson! HE RULES.

    Tina….are you sure?

And everyone swallow your pride and go join the KROQ street team. Coa-hella bad tattoos pre-sale is tomorrow from 10am until 10pm.

i dont’ know where to start.. Rage? Manu Chao? DJ Shadow?? its like heaven

  16. Posted by Tina 1/25/07 at 4:06 am # Reply

Jeff yes I am sure. I heard it directly from Tom Morello’s mouth at the Hotel Cafe show.

  17. Posted by Jeff 1/25/07 at 8:41 am # Reply

OK, thanks, Tina. Was he wearing a Chairman Mao t-shirt when he said that? Or did Nuno Bettencourt or Sen-dog confirm? How was the Nightwatchman show?

i demand bold and “thumbs up” status for Coachella on the concert calendar

    i tried pre-sale password “Roxanne”

    It doesn’t work.

  21. Posted by V. 1/25/07 at 4:35 pm # Reply

That was the pre-pre-sale password. For today use: INDIO.

  22. Posted by Oren 1/26/07 at 10:51 am # Reply

Damn, missed the pre-sale again! Where was it? I even joined the KROQ street team a couple days ago for that very reason and never got an email about it.

  23. Posted by V. 1/26/07 at 11:06 am # Reply

This was the Goldenvoice pre-sale, not KROQ’s thing, Oren.

So the take-home lesson here is that KROQ is as useless as ever. Just hit this site a few times a day instead you’ll know what’s up without having to debase yourself with KROQ. Info on free Shins shows, for example. (Thanks, Frank.)

And, um, how would I have found out about the Goldenvoice presale?
