No, the Shadoe Stevens mock-Crazy Eddie KROQ DJ specified that a gentleman named Oscar requested the Genesis tune. And supposedly Oscar had stressed that any Peter Gabriel-era material would be unacceptable.

Incidentally, turned on KROQ briefly this weekend and caught Enter Sandman. It doesn’t take a crystal ball. May every band enjoy a Bob Rock era, though. I hear he is slated to produce the next RBD album which will have 4 versions: English, Spanish, Spanglish and ancient Mayan.

Anyway, luckily, I found refuge over at Indie 103.1 in what apparently was a strictly Cold War Kids/Peter Bjorn and John 48 hour block.
