Came in to the restaurant, seated, and given a wine list. No one came after that to take care of my order or even asked for my drink order. I was there for a bussiness trip but I was alone since my colleague left the day before. 15 minutes went by, NO ONE served me water or even asked me my order, not even gave me a dinner menu (I had to ask myself, even so, no one took care of my order, even after I tried to catch their attention). A group of 4 people came in. A waiter IMMEDIATELY asked for their drink order!!! Is one person bussiness not as important as 4 people? Is this how you treat your customer? My night was ruined and I was disappointed! I told the ladies at the front desk about it and they said "really?" as if they did not believe me. I left the restaurant because I felt that I was treated unfair and that my business was not important. Who wants to eat their food after that? I work for a large coorporate company and I don't recommend your restaurant at all to my colleagues, an yes, we do a lot of of business in Vegas!

Fourth note to Aziz: I tried Katsu Ya in Studio City on your recommendation. You were right--there were multiple taste explosions in my mouth. As a result the national terror alert was raised to orange.

Third note to Aziz: Did you ever wind up seeing "Crank"? If so, was it indeed crazier than the prices at Roku? Please advise.

Second note to Aziz: you are lame and, for a comedian, not very comical.

"My $100 dinner was only so so"

boo fucking hoo

Yeah, I never thought of Sushi Roku as being particularly pricey, but last time I went here (December 06) I was floored by how expensive it was. The sushi's damn good but you can get much better value for your money at any number of other places. And if you're going to spend in the three figures per person, you might as well go to Nobu Malibu or equivalent.

WTF $110 per perpetrator!?! Were the chefs holding their finely honed knives at Ansari & Co.'s throats forcing them to order or did the menus come without prices? Seems like that sushi house is well aware of the old "there's a sucker born every minute" adage.

Keizo Ishiba was head chef at Sushi Roku in WeHo and opened his own place in Culver City last summer. Maybe Sushi Roku has suffered in his absence, but his new restaurant, K-Zo, is excellent. It's right next to Trader Joe's, so parking is easy, too. I keep meaning to sign up for CitySearch so I can write a review but I haven't gotten around to it yet. But it's real good. Not cheap, but money well spent when you want to treat yourself.

Jesus. Every sushi restaurant name in LA is set up perfectly for a bad Aziz pun:

Zo: more like Sushi NO
Nozawa: more like NO Zawa
Nagao: more like NO-Gao
Nobu: more like NO-Bu
