Brodeo @ New Image Art Gallery
A Group Exhibition Taking their cues from the worlds of street, skateboard culture, design and fine art Brodeo is a survey of contemporary male artists running the gamut of abstraction, design, figuration and street art as they spin the world around us into an object of perception. As some of the finest of their fields this show exhibits a wide range of sensibilities and approaches to current trends in the Contemporary art and design worlds. Through Sat 7/7.

Dance Camera West
Dance Camera West is a non-profit organization dedicated to introducing quality dance film from around the world to Los Angeles. The Dance Camera West Dance Film Festival takes place annually in June and is a city-wide event across Los Angeles. Through Sat 6/30.

Work from “Ed “Big Daddy” Roth Studios @ La Luz de Jesus
Roth, no longer in the underground, (though he is sadly located there now) is a rock star in his own right. See these unbelievably rare lowbrow pop art hieroglyphics in person, as you will probably never see the original artwork for these disposable masterpieces ever again. Through Sun 7/1.

Edwin Ushiro @ Nucleus
Join us this Saturday as he presents us with new work. Influenced by ghost stories, childhood memories and the unexplainable, Ushiro takes us to a place where the line of fantasy and memory are blurred. Through Sat 6/23.

Hollywood Forever Historic Walking Tours
At the Hollywood Forever, the stars are waiting for you. Re:Mission @ thinkspace
A community art project that will benefit children with cancer treated at the Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. For one evening only, artists worldwide will be featuring their donated works at Thinkspace Gallery. Art pieces will be sold at a discount with 100% of the proceeds supporting the cause.

Southern California Beer Pong Tournament

TUESDAY

Studio 360 Live @ The Getty
Kurt Andersen brings Studio 360 to the Getty Center to tape the show before a live audience, talking with some of Los Angeles’ creative movers and shakers. Playwright and actress Iris Bahr, whose multicharacter monologue Dai was a huge success in New York, talks about world politics and performs new material. Hitmaker Alexandra Patsavas explains how she finds unknown gems as music supervisor for programs like Grey’s Anatomy, and shares some of what’s kicking around her iPod. And East L.A. contenders Quetzal show how they’re pushing the boundaries of Chicano rock to a new level of cool.
