Oh man. I showed up for the Moz show at 9:15 and the Palladium’s doors were locked. There wasn’t even anyone in the ticket booth!

If I’d paid full price for the ticket I’d be really pissed; as it is, I’m more than a little bummed.

Pete–what do you mean–you didnt even get in? Morrissey goes on at about 9 and they shut you out?

I got a call from two people last night who said the show was great. I guess you were locked out for being tardy? Was the door time posted?

After the Ed Banger hidden detour party on fri night, Justice @ Detour on sat, Monday night w/ the crew at the viperroom till 2am, and Justice last night at the Fonda.
We cap off the French electronica LA invasion week w/ chance to party with some real French house legends from the Daft Punk camp: ALAN BRAXE and DJ FALCON.

These guys are responsible for some of the biggest anthems of all time – “Music Sounds Better With You,” “Together,” “Rubicon,” “Vertigo,” “So Much Love To Give”, and on and on. Both recorded for Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter’s Roule Label. They have produced epic remixes for the likes ofCassius, Annie, & Justice. Alan Braxe’s (along with Kris Menace) huge new track “Lumberjack” is one of our favorites of 2007. This one is the real deal and it will blow minds – you have be there.

ALAN BRAXE (Roule/Vulture Music- Paris) http://www.myspace.com/alan_braxe
DJ FALCON (Daft Crew/Roule- Paris) http://www.myspace.com/djfalconparis

This is a rare chance, so rsvp to [email protected] before it’s too late!

I’m with Tommie. Tonight is not to be missed.

Though, I can’t believe I’m still standing after the last 5 days.

Pete–what do you mean–you didnt even get in? Morrissey goes on at about 9 and they shut you out?

    Yep, that’s exactly what happened.

I’m not surprised that the Palladium is strict about this. There have been security problems there in the past (among other things, it was the site of the first prominent murder committed by the Crips outside of South Central) and they probably figured that they should shut the doors once Morrissey started.

Still kinda dickish, though. All the ticket said was “8:00.”

For all future Moz-goers, doors at 7p, Kristeen Young at 8p and Moz at 9p sharp. I thought he would go on at 10p, but luckily I arrived at 8:30p.

Bort, the Sigur Ros site had the acoustic performance/screening listed Nov. 1 at El Capitan but then pulled it a few hours later. It will probably be there though, just has to be confirmed.

speaking of ucla (aka the best school ever. just not in football) here’s some free wu love….

Cartoon Network crowned Ghostface Killah as the headliner for the hip-hop portion of the Adult Swim Tour. Witch Doctor, from Atlanta’s Dungeon Family, is also set to rock the mic with the comical, preachy Wu Tang member. The 12-city college tour will touchdown at UCLA on Oct. 16 7pm. Fans can see all of this hip-hop pandemonium for free. No dolla-dolla bill ya’ll!
