I was in the audience, and I found the incessant talking amongst the audience members to be far more offensive than any of Yeasayer's leadsinger's remarks. I grant you, they may not have been particularly amusing, but it was pretty funny just to see how upset the crowd was. A little bit precious, are we? I remember being at shows and loving it when people threw stuff into the crowd. Doesn't anyone remember when drummers would throw their sticks into the crowd and everyone would clamber to grab one. Good times. Perhaps the crowd was just a bit pissed because they got a little wet coming in; or perhaps they heard MGMT's "Time To Pretend" on Indie 103 or KROQ and were simply put out by Yeasayer's more eccentric ways. Either way, musically, both bands were amazing. I would welcome both back with open arms. Lighten up Los Angeles. Look the rain's gone and its sunny again!
