By Victor - Tuesday May 06th 2008

HEADS UP

My Bloody Valentine @ Santa Monica Civic Auditorium Wed 10/1
My Bloody Valentine @ Santa Monica Civic Auditorium Thu 10/2

The last time they played the U.S. was 16 years ago, right here in L.A. (The Palace, July 5, 1992) so it’s only fitting they end the tour here.

Tickets on sale Saturday, 5/10 at 10 am.

I was at that Palace show sixteen (!) years ago, only wish I still had the stub to prove it. Loudest. Concert. Ever.

While MBV is one of my all-time faves, I know this concert is likely to suck. Haven’t been to the Sta. Monica Civic in a looong time, but it seems like the wrong venue for them – too cavernous if I remember.

    I’ll still be there, though.

Bought tickets for both nights. I figure I’ve been waiting since 1995 to see them and they are only playing 8 miles from my house so how could I not go to both shows. Seems like plenty of tickets are still available but the show is still so far off.
