    Good stuff, R.

I’ll kick off the Bass Chat: Is that a 5-string Fender active Jazz model his man is working? Sweet.

re: fender active jazz, similar, but the head’s different. Had a signature I couldn’t make out.

Pretty sure that’s a Mike Lull.

    Look at us gear geeks.

    I got nothin’.

But hey, it’s not like there aren’t dozens of boutique-Fender builders out there. One more to add to the list!

    Speaking of Fender knockoffs…

    Jazzmaster clone

Is this a Jazzmaster clone or what? The hot humbuckers and bridge are obviously not Fender and the headstock sig is off. Pretty sharp axe nonetheless.

Ryan, these are some hot photos. So extremely opposite of craptastic.

re: jazzmaster clone for battles (6) – you just gotta let that guy play whatever the hell works best for him and trust him. Look at that finger posture!

    (7) – thanks sung

Indeed, the younger Braxton’s left-hand technique is quite fearsome. One wonders if James “Blood” Ulmer or Vernon Reid was part of his father’s circle.

    truly amazing pics.

and enough with the geeky gear talk. how about a playlist??

setlist ran pretty similar to last fall’s Greek show. somebody’s roughed one up in the comment sections here; however, take it with a grain of salt because he definitely opened with “Love’s in need of love today” and touched “As” for about 45 seconds near the end of the show before pulling out of it and switching gears completely, probably realizing he didn’t have the 45 minutes he would’ve wanted to play that one
