When I heard about this show, I was all ready to go.....until I saw the ticket price. No thanks. I'm not sure of the motivation behind that ticket price. The venue isn't big enough to really rake in cash, at least the kind of cash guys like this would notice. So what is the point?

While the show sounded great from the description, I gotta say that's a short setlist for a $200 show. Works out to about $10 a song.

"In a nutshell: Old."

True, yes, but you'll be there before you know it, my friend. One day you'll be packed into [Insert Enduring Venue Name Here] for the reunion of [Insert Disposable Band Name From the 00's Here] and you'll look around and see some young whippersnapper thought-texting "In a nutshell: Old" onto the HUD on the faceplate screen in front of him: and then you'll indignantly jack-in to the cerebranet and start typine "True, yes, but you'll be there before you know it..." and then it'll hit you.

Sigh.

Solid re-cap. I'm going to go ahead and wager a guess that you were the only person chanting "Oates" after every song.

For two dudes that are 61 and 59, respectively, they sure don't look it, work or no work (looking at you, J.O.) Compare them to other end of the rock spectrum, Mick & Keef, both just a few years older at 64.

And the more I think about it, the "OATS" typo on the ticket is so glaringly obvious, it had to have been intentional, probably just the latest in a career as the butt of practical jokes, and I bet I know who was behind it.
