They had a good run and that was a great way to end it. It will be interesting to see what kind of acts show up next in the joint. For those of you who missed it, there were something like 40 people on stage around 1130pm, each taking turns freestyling and lauding the establishment through verse and song. Dwight Trible took a turn. The first time I saw Dwight Trible, he shared a billing with Pharoah Sanders at the old Catalina. Not bad for a free party. Most importantly, though, the Westside Rentals sign guy was there - <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sharpeworld/238082517/" rel="nofollow">in full effect</a>! Must agree Tawnya. They had a good run and that was a great way to end it. It will be interesting to see what kind of acts show up next in the joint.
