Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age: Free Show Wednesday (10/29): Vague, Blackberry-Themed Instructions Below

’grohlstache’This Just In
The Fighters and the QOTSA will shill a few Blackberries for the sake of free rock Wednesday eve, and that’s perfectly fine by us. Set times unknown. Venue unknown, though Oscar’s saying it’s at the Avalon. Ticket allotment unknown. Blackberry Storm tech specs unknown. What the fuck is actually known? Basically here’s the skinny as we know it, posted on the QOTSA website today:

How To Enter: QOTSA Special Show w/Foo Fighters

Text BBSTORM to 66937 to register for the Launch Party

If you win, you will be notified by Wednesday at 9am via text message with instructions on how to claim your ticket. You will also be told the location of the show.

Check it out!

You will be required to:
– give your name
– phone number
– present your MOBILE TICKET at the door to gain entry to the show
BlackBerry® Storm™ Party in Los Angeles With Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age 10/29/08

ONCE YOU COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR THE BLACKBERRY STORM CONCERT ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 29th, YOU WILL BE NOTIFED BY WEDNESDAY, OCT 29th at 9 AM TO RECEIVE AN OFFICIAL CONCERT TICKET, ALONG WITH THE VENUE LOCATION AND INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO REDEEM.

There are also a couple screwy clauses about capacity vs ticket allotment, and this ludicrous eye-opener: “The holder agrees not to transmit or aid in transmitting any description, account, picture, video, audio or reproduction of the event or any portion of the event for which this ticket is issued.” It would be a shame for you to get sued for twittering “Foos in teh hizzy thx blxbry strm,” so cross that clause out with your attorney. You may want to send your dad an email or even blog it (shudder to think!)

Most importantly, do not fucking mention iPhones when you claim your ticket. Even if you are using one to show your “mobile ticket” … especially then. Maybe go so far as to complain about the iPhone. We know you love your precious iPhone but shut it, this could rock in a corporate launch sort of way if it pans out. For one night only, you are all about Research in Motion. Good luck.
