But hey! If you made it to any of the Flaming Lips Yoshimi shows back in 2002, you prettymuch already got last night's vibe (rampant hugging of strangers, confetti galore, giant balloons being volleyed)...just add a new president and hilarious holographic CNN coverage to the mix. (N/B: I have no doubt Wayne Coyne would have liked to have incorporated both of those final elements into the 2002 tour as well, were it in any way feasible.) The fire marshalls also didn't appreciate 300-some attendees briefly turning the stage into Dance Party USA. It was pretty fantastic, Tawnya. But hey!
