What hype? The food and beverage selection is terrific. I was there this past weekend and had a delicious buffalo/beef/pork sausage with sweet peppers,and grilled onions. The bun was warm and toasted and the sausage was juicy and flavorful, when I bit into it there was just the right snap to the casing,and I don’t know how you can say that a 1/4lb. sausage is small. The one thing you are right about is that cucumber water is hip.

Finally tried Wurstküche and can’t understand the hype. I went for the Duck-Bacon-Jalapeño sausage with onions and sweet peppers on the advice of the house. While I’ll agree with the “generic exotic game” comments, I’ll add dry, small and overpriced to the mix.

I would consider returning for the fantastic beer selection, but those sausages at those prices are insulting.

Ah well. Put some cucumber in the water and I suppose the food doesn’t matter; the hipsters will come.

The free multigrain mustard put this place over the top for me. I thought the seating area would be great as a venue and sure enough staff confirmed they’re working on a stage for music and other entertainment.

Good article. I’ve been to Wurstkuche several times now and just love the place. You did not comment on how you liked your fries.
I find them very good most of the time. I also find their soda selection very unique. Next time try basic bockwurst, very juicy and flavorful, fries with curry ketchup is delicious.
