Last year, the 3 day show trashed the park which was NEVER designed to accommodate the heavy equipment used and the tens of thousands of attendees.

Last year, the 3 day show destroyed flora and displaced the fauna.

Another Planet Entertainment is sheep in wolf’s clothing that took into account NONE of the concerns and complaints (noise, park closure for 12 days, public urination, etc., ad naseum) expressed by San Franciscans.

Basically, SF is in financial straits and the Park and Rec Dept of SF is aping methods used by the Bush admin: Scary beast (financial insolvency) lurks beyond the horizon; scary beast is poised to strike; scary beast can be checked IF we do things which we woould normally never do (privatize the park).

Park and Rec Dept of SF is using this tactic to start charging a fee for SF’s Arboretum.
