This building must never be lost. I grew up in PC many fond memories there. Today it's trashy and can't read the signs. A big (bad) change from the early 60's when it was clean and really nice. In later years, this bldg was our bank, maybe Wells Fargo?
It would be a shame to have it levelled, and put in a taco stand,or cellphone store, what a waste.
We will remember the memories forever of the way it used to be. I do have some photos of this building, along with others of Panorama in the 'good old days'.
Regards,

This building is a time machine: it seems to shout to the world that, with enough of it, money has the power to transport us to the future.

I stumbled across this astounding building today, now occupied by a low-end furniture retailer. The interior is just at amazing as the exterior with a spiral stainless-steel railing staircase leading to the mezzanine that features custom light fixtures and wood sound/light baffles. The safe on the ground floor is now a wonderful showcase for a sofa/loveseat in plaid.

Although the building has been modified quite a bit, it is still salvageable architecturally. Don't let this one get away!

Sarmiento is the proper spelling. Here's a brief Wikipedia article about him: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wenceslaus_Sarmiento .

This sounds like a great story for Huell Howser.

Please confirm the correct spelling of his name:
You mention him in your article as (1) "Mr. Wenceslaus SARMIENTO" and (2) "SARMINETO was the head designer...". How is his name correctly spelled for our future reference?
