Well, we were ticked (sic) for failing to have a health permit posted in public view, and forced to shut down because our health permit is expired. I showed the officers a note from the health department that says permit renewals are a few months late, and are valid until Sept 9. Alas, they refused to accept it, and claimed to call the health inspector to check. Officers said that the inspector said that the permit is invalid. On my way back to the office (yes, food truck companies do have overhead like rent, etc) I spoke with the health inspector directly and he told me that we are not required to publicly post our permit (we must have it on board for him when he checks on us) and that my permits are just fine and that I can come get a more personalized note for next time. Also, someone keeps calling the police within minutes of a truck parking in the area.
