[...] U2 are set to headline Friday night of the Glastonbury Festival on 6/25, sandwiching the date between North American tour stops Edmonton 6/23 and Minneapolis 6/27. Festival tickets have been sold out for a while now, but, as the saying goes, where there’s a will, there’s a way. All that criss-crossing the globe on jets can’t be very good for the environment, but if any single band has earned the right for a free pass, you would have to say it’s these guys. Those four gentlemen up there are the living Mount Rushmore of rock. Instantly iconic without any effort at this point. In comparison, I can’t even visualize what 3/4ths of Coldplay or The Killers even look like.
