We heard a bit about some hiccups with InTicketing.com with the rush to get tix to the Broken Bells‘s Bootleg Theater show. Let’s see if Ticketfly (Troubadour’s new ticketing partner) can handle all of us banging their system right at 1 pm for these.

Came across these blurry snapshots slipped in a LP sleeve the other day. The much-missed Lush signing records upon the release of Spooky, at the much-missed Aron’s Records on Highland Avenue, 1992. Pre-Internet, pre-MP3, pre-digital cameras, pre-everything. With in a couple of days of finding these, heard both Jason Bentley and KEXP spin some Lush. Glad to see they’re still popping up now and then.

While we’re still waiting on that updated edition of Counter Intelligence, he’s gone and rounded up 99 things to eat before you die in LA. Er, that’s 99 things to eat in LA before you die, wherever. CHICKENS IN LOVE is a full-length album of twelve original songs written by 826LA students and performed by Los Angeles-based recording artists: She & Him, Fiona Apple, Cold War Kids, Tim and Eric, The Submarines, Summer Darling, The Happy Hollows, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Dum Dum Girls, The Growlers, Crystal Antlers, and The Pity Party.

“Mamacita” shown here is leading donations with a whopping $635 as of press time and will be performed by Cold War Kids (really looking forward to hear that). You can view videos of performances of all 12 songs and pledge donations here through April 30.

A corresponding benefit show is set for March 6 at Echoplex:
