Add This One to the Awesome Dept: Alcove Green Velvet Cake

Just when you thought Alcove Cafe in Los Feliz couldn’t get any more hyperbolic press and St. Patrick’s Day food couldn’t taste any worse… they both totally redeem themselves.

For the Irish holiday, the cafe/bakery is featuring a green version of their already very popular red velvet cake. The delicious and bright green cake stands out even at Alcove–a spot that can easily be described as a dessert bordello (if you’ve been there, you know what I’m talking about). And, like most bordellos, totally worth trying at least once.
