A Guy/Cult Member Called ‘Tony Watson’ hooked me up with the ‘Rub-N-Tug’ mix @ PS1 mix…which peaked my interest a while back. I spent days i.d’n tracks on that one…all the while bumpin their Fabric mix. I might have missed out on the last Rub-N-Tug event but this Saturday I’m ready! These guys are rocking New York City and are poised to do the same. Check the quote:

So it seemed pretty clear that Voom Voom’s album ‘Peng Peng’ might be the most amazing piece of deep electronic house music you’re going to hear for…well until the next album review by yours truly is probably a little fairer. But now I’m really going to complicate shit with the otherside of the equation…Dorfmeister. K&D’s label ‘G-stone’ has just released ‘Richard Dorfmeister vs. Madrid De Los Austrias – Grand Slam’. TIP! Summer jam’s abound with Latin grooves and fat rauncy baselines flying at you from all angles. Reworked classics, new funky and tight production, remixes of zero 7 and Groove Armada… Just thank me later. I have to rest up for this weekend.

If you thought this was a glowing endorsement for a party wait till the next SexyModr event…

I get the sense that John Tejada should actually be the guy wearing the ‘I’m Big in Europe’ T-shirt around L.A. It’s ridiculous – the krauts especially (myself included) adore this guy. His tracks appear in most of my (woopy!) yearly top tens, he’s worked with DIVINE STYLER (this blows my mind as he is surely one of my most fabled artists) and hell I’m picking this show at King King over going to see Tiga, whom I used to see weekly in Montreal waaaay back in the day… I’m very intrigued to hear Tejada on his home turf during this landmark period. With initial reviews of “Cleaning Sounds…” pointing to his “most mature and complete work to date”, my curiosity for this techno composers live incarnation is…how can you say… ready for the ‘Filthy F#@$’n Business’!!! I’ll drop-a-review of the album shortly.
