A good vibes crowd of hippies, yuppies and indies, Trader Joe’s picnic gear in tow, turned out at the Hollywood Bowl this past Sunday to see Brian Wilson. Opening and closing sets of hits rightfully elicited loud cheers, but the meat of the evening was a full run through of the Smile LP, the last scheduled such performance.

Recommended Show of the Week: Arthurfest @ Barnsdall Art Park. The headliners for Labor Day Weekend’s two-day Arthurfest are not unlike the two Arthur movies. The original was solid and had that “caught between the moon and New York City” song which everyone loved. This sentiment is embodied in Sunday’s main attraction, Sonic Youth. The sequel Arthur 2: On the Rocks was a waste of time as is Monday’s headline act, Yoko Ono.
