New Signage to Help Disappointed Tourists Navigate Downtown

Los Angeles recently began installing 1,300 icon-based signs around Downtown to help pedestrians and motorists find their way around 13 unique districts (when did people start referring to the Staples Center area as South Park?). The project, named Downtown LA Walks, is designed to promote walking and presumably to legitimize the area as a viable tourist destination.
