SXSW: The Forms @ Todd P Free Day Party, Mrs. Bea’s, 19 March 2009

Each year dozens of stellar bands (No Age, Vivian Girls just two of this year’s examples) play Todd P‘s setup at Mrs. Bea’s (and often unregulated, “secret” venues ’round Austin, as well). Take for example Forms above, who kicked off the day last Thursday @ noon sharp (already hot in Texas), or dig some Neptune photos from last year. Or mayhap Kirsten Ketsjer‘s your bag. Takers? Factamatter is, and I tell people this annually, if you think you do not have the money to “afford” sxsw, you are mistaken. No badge, no wristband, no problem all day and night. Combine this patio, a few solid rsvp’d day shows and a Mess With Texas massive setup, and you’re more than set, wristband-and-badge-free, all week long. Something to think about next year.
