Alright, gang. Tear it apart.
[…] As is becoming a regular addition to festival season, here is another fake 2010 Coachella line-up poster, presented by the internets. I don’t know internets, this line-up doesn’t look nearly fake enough. Except, of course, the day Muse headlines a show over Elvis Costello is the day I boycott music forever. (losanjealous) […]
You know what, on closer unnecessary inspection of said fake poster, all three days are light on top.
unless i missed something: Neutral Milk Hotel is broken up. And…i’ll say, Grace Jones, Perry Farrel, faith no more, Pavement (the hell? are total BS
NMH never officially broke up, just kind of fizzled out. Anyhow, Jeff Mangum could recruit you guys from this Comments section to back him and still would still be NMH–it’s just about him.
Also, I just noticed Neutral Milk Hotel is not only playing but is listed fifth down on the first day. Amateur move.
Are you saying NMH should be higher or lower? People tend to overestimate their actual popularity outside the relatively small numbers of a particularly vocal fanbase.
More suspect is sticking Echo & Bunnymen second on Sunday. Even at the height of their modest Stateside popularity they wouldn’t have deserved that high a placement.
But look at that Sunday lineup. Who would you put ahead of Echo? The Dead Weather?
On this fake lineup, Day 3 definitely looking lighter at the top end of the bill. I’d maybe go Dead Weather, Devo, Erykah Badu, maybe even Spoon, higher up than Echo.
not the perfect line up, but not bad either.
I’d be pretty content if this turned out to be a list of bands NOT playing this year.
To be completely honost, this is the most realistic fake Coachella poster I’ve ever seen, I would actually be surprised if the real line up turned out much different from this. Eels is very doubtful though, E hasn’t done a proper tour in years, and I don’t think this year will be an exception.
Good line up though, I’d go to that. Hope they can find a better headliner than Muse though. I’ll bet the other two headliners actually turn up as the headliners though.
