Having quickly established itself as a presence in the local culture since its doors opened last Fall, The Broad naturally makes its way into the nighttime event scene with its new Nonobject(ive): Summer Happenings multi-media series, running one Saturday a month through September, starting this coming Saturday, June 25.

Co-curated by Bradford Nordeen & Brandon Stosuy the multi-media program for the inaugural night draws inspiration from the new Cindy Sherman: Imitation of Life exhibition (to which a Summer Happenings ticket includes admission–the exhibit is otherwise sold out through July 1) with a lineup that includes songs and sounds from Perfume Genius, Cindytalk and Lotic, alongside choreography from Narcissister and style transformations by Mutant Salon.

An early peak ahead to the July 30 Summer Happening reveals a bill featuring Richard Hell with the Haxan Cloak, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith with Mas Ysa, visuals and dance Ryan Heffington and Brontez Purnell and experimental electronic sounds by Anenon.
