I’ve been noticing horrible SMB traffic west of the 405 lately as well. I think it has to do with the closure of the Olympic/Pico on- and off-ramps. Instead of going to the various West Los Angeles destinations along the Olympic and Pico corridors, especially the Japantown along Sawtelle and all those office towers along Olympic, people are instead getting off at SMB and taking Sawtelle, Barrington, and Bundy to their destinations.
my friends and i were there last week and they weren’t playing blue velvet! so we ended up watching a 2004 made foreign flick called “only humans”. it’s a must-see. go see it! i haven’t laughed so hard in…years.
Waaaaaaaaaah, and no mention that PEEWEE was the Friday midnite movie?!?
I work on Olympic and Sawtelle and must say that SMB is my new offramp. But surely I cannot be blamed. I’m there at 645am. Booyashakka
