Win Tix to World Party @ The Roxy

Karl Wallinger’s World Party hits town Monday, August 14. You probably remember his 1990 alternahit “Way Down Now.” Now World Party’s funky current single “Here Comes the Future” is in heavy rotation on KCRW. That’s some long career span for Welsh Wallinger. (Even more impressive if you factor in his days with The Waterboy, pre-World Party.)

Up-and-coming singer-songwriter Elvis Perkins from Rhode Island opens the show and is attracting a fair amount of attention himself, so this is a hot double bill.
