What’s up with The El Rey not selling tickets through their website anymore? It would have been a $2.50 serbvice charge in the old days, but now the Joanna Newsom tickets are $9 in service charges through ticketmaster. Does anyone know if going to a ticketmaster location actually saves money over ticketmaster.com?

Awwww. The El Rey was recently bought out by Golden Voice. It was nice to get a reduced serv. charge. However they do have some decent acts passing through. Well We’re o the subject, does anyone have an extra pair of Tix’s for The Knife?

The lowest price you’ll pay for a ticket is if you buy tickets at the Ticketmaster outlet and pay CASH. It’s more expensive to buy them online with a credit card. For the venues that offer them, it’s cheaper to get them at the actual venue.

Cable’s small peanuts compared to network TV. I don’t even count that crap. I do it just for the health insurance. I made more on the Becker syndy deal than I’d make in 20 seasons of HBO.

Your Los Angeles readers can check out Becker from 5-6 pm AND Cheers from 6-7 pm on KDOC Ch. 56, M-F. It’s a goddamned 2 hour Danz Fest every weeknight.
