PICK OF THE WEEK: Arthur Nights
The Arthur Nights are those brave souls awarded the highest order of Chivalry at the Court of King Arthur. The stage at which they perform has neither head nor foot, representing the equality of all the members. Join Sir Devendra, Sir Boris, and the rest in their quest for the Holy Grail Thursday through Sunday at the Downtown Palace Theater. And if you haven’t bought tickets yet use ye olde promotional code arthur899 during checkout.

I think the Beastie Boys concert is on Saturday not Sunday.

You’re right zach–Beasties on Saturday. There was conflicting info on the etnies site last week.
What’s up with The El Rey not selling tickets through their website anymore? It would have been a $2.50 serbvice charge in the old days, but now the Joanna Newsom tickets are $9 in service charges through ticketmaster. Does anyone know if going to a ticketmaster location actually saves money over ticketmaster.com?
Awwww. The El Rey was recently bought out by Golden Voice. It was nice to get a reduced serv. charge. However they do have some decent acts passing through. Well We’re o the subject, does anyone have an extra pair of Tix’s for The Knife?
The lowest price you’ll pay for a ticket is if you buy tickets at the Ticketmaster outlet and pay CASH. It’s more expensive to buy them online with a credit card. For the venues that offer them, it’s cheaper to get them at the actual venue.
This just in: Clifton’s Cafeteria will be open until 9pm during Arthur Nights.
‘Help Me Help You’ — Tuesdays @ 9:30 on ABC.
And yes, this completes my trifecta of the networks: Cheers/NBC, Becker/CBS and HMHY/ABC.
Let us not forget your stint on Curb over at HBO, Danz. But you still have to hit showtime. Until you hit showtime, you’re smalltime.
Your Los Angeles readers can check out Becker from 5-6 pm AND Cheers from 6-7 pm on KDOC Ch. 56, M-F. It’s a goddamned 2 hour Danz Fest every weeknight.
There’s also Mew @ El Rey on Saturday.
Will Tony Danza be there?
Thanks Jenn–I added the Mew show.
