Stay Focused on the Food

Yesterday the day began with Iggy Pop and ended with MSTRKRFT at ??? AM. My friends, now more than ever it is imperative that we stay focused on the food. Take this bowl of okra for example. To my knowledge I have only encountered okra in two forms. One is via gumbo and one is when they batter it up deep-fat-fry the everloving shit out of it and plaster it with ranch dressing. Heaven. I just had quadruple bypass writing it down.

My dad grows okra (he’s a native of northern FL, he can’t help it) and we often eat it as part of a ratatouille served alongside steak or grilled chicken in the summer. It’s good in context, but the stuff is horrifying on its own ungarnished. What else can you expect from a vegetable that’s both fuzzy and slimy?
Also, was Watt playing with the Stooges?
Never mind, I think I saw Watt’s face right behind Iggy’s hand.
Man. James van O looks pretty damn good for a dude who’s been where he’s been and done what he’s done. Makes me want to go out and buy a couple of The Adventures of Pete & Pete DVDs.
