New Live Daedelus: Now’s The Time

daedelusâ€™ sideburns Alongside being a master of beat-laden avantbience™, LA’s own Daedelus (Alfred Weisberg-Roberts, USC jazz studies) has in fact long held the crown for the best sideburns in town (seriously – don’t take my word for it – watch this clip). But what else might one expect from an artist whose self-described interests include “Victorian Dandyism” ?

Grab “Now’s The Time” below, a track from his latest Alpha Pup offering which was recorded live at Airliner’s weekly Low End Theory night (just down the street from Tacos Chapalita). The album, unsurprisingly titled Live At Low End Theory, drops 1/22. Still no street date on that guitar-driven Long Lost LP collaboration with his wife (purportedly to be released on Ninja Tune), so do continue to hang on to those aging, dusty 2002-era Carlos NiÃ±o Spaceways cassette demos for now.

Recently, my husband started with the potential problem and our relations are deadlocked.
