Dublab Presents GIVE UP: La Cita, Downtown, Tuesday

By Ryan - Friday January 11th 2008

give upIn what has become an annual Valentine’s tradition in recent years, the fine folks over at dublab once again bring you sad songs to dance to sadly, either by yourself or with one of your sad, pathetic little buddies. Not sure what to expect? Expect a litany of songs that, despite their depressing nature, still make you want to couples-dance for some damn reason (e.g., Yo La Tengo, “Tears are in your eyes”). Seriously, do expect songs that will make you feel shitty, songs that will tell the truth about the cruel world, and songs that will gladly never offer a single solitary ray of sunshine or hope. Nothing but.

The forthcoming free installment of GIVE UP takes place next Tuesday @ La Cita. On the bill: Ale, frosty, J.Mendez, Michael Stock, BennyShambles, Jimmy Tamborello, Sam Cooper, Ben Barnes, Anh Do, more. Did we mention it’s free?
