come on now pilgrims - there’s hope yet
a little animal collective + the national with aesop and minus and spanking and jens to swoon you away while vampire weekend brings it all back down and then mr. deacon can just eviscerate your brain cavities on friday

wake back up on saturday and fall asleep to death cab and rilo while m.i.a. tears it up and hot chip tapes it back together. later steve and his jicks will remind you why you love silly rock and roll and islands will only solidify that thought. MGMT will further and no doubt that sabastian and his boy kavinsky will at least make you shuffle from one side of a tent to the other.

i seen roger do his dark side bit @ the bowl and its no laughing matter. i’ve seen justice to their bit in the heavens and it is indeed sanctimonious. even chromeo, the field, imian, a-trak and the streets will undoubtedly make someone’s ill advised “E”xperience sail smoothly. if not, the annuals, holy fuck, les savy fav, and/or i’m from barcelona will quell any need to sweat in cadence.

not bad, not bad at all.

and people LOVE that jack johnson

and he loves them right back.

I think the “underneath” bands are stronger than in years past. Looking forward to Sunday’s lineup,,,MMJ especially.

The question is, to take off Friday or not?

  8. ben : 1/22/08 at 12:29 pm

i think sean has had a few too many “E”xperiences.

  9. anonymousey : 1/22/08 at 12:41 pm

that’s sucky. glad i’m too old to go so i don’t have to.

  10. sherru : 1/22/08 at 3:58 pm

    Jack Johnson is a weiner.

  11. ( . )( .) : 1/22/08 at 5:31 pm

    wooooo

  12. Valerie : 1/22/08 at 6:14 pm

This might be the first time I’m skipping out. I’d rather save money for Coachella-East. What a bummer.

  13. Julian : 1/22/08 at 6:31 pm

    no radiohead-no go

  14. Ron : 1/22/08 at 11:32 pm

    This is just plain pathetic.

  15. Joce : 1/24/08 at 4:36 pm

    Cafe Tacuba rocks my socks!!

  16. sean : 1/28/08 at 11:31 pm

pathetic? PATHETIC? that comment was pathetic. listen to any of the bands in the smaller font and you’ll too soon learn that you, ron, are misinformed.

  17. [...] Lips’ music. You can catch them next on the same day Jack Johnson [controversially] graces Coachella’s [...]
