I’d rather it be: Prince w/Special Guests - Stone Temple Pilots

it could happen still - bring STP friday! this really is turning into the summer Jack Johnson and STP hijacked as many festivals as possible.

This makes coachella so much more legit this year. Whether you are a prince fan or not, just think: Portishead? As a headliner? Really?

You have to respect that they pulled this off.

last week a friend of mine said, ‘oh hey guys, i can get you coachella tix if you want them’ and everyone was like eh, no thanks. but i just called her! tickets for saturday, please! only going sat though. i don’t have a burning desire to see jack johnson.

I feel like Goldenvoice/AEG is just going more and more corporate with this event and that Coachella is losing its aesthetic. Don’t get me wrong I love the music of both Roger Waters/Pink Floyd and Prince, but their appearances feels like when Metallica played Lollapalooza. That changed the whole vibe of that festival and it never ever recovered (At least until it found its Chicago home)…
