Tapes ‘N Tapes Coming to Troubadour in May: Win Tickets Now

TNT

Tapes ’N Tapes are currently touring to support their latest release Walk It Off (April 8; Beggars). They’ll be in town at the Troubadour on back-to-back nights next month (May 8, May 9) and, wouldn’t you know it, we’re handing out tickets. We’ll give out some tickets to the May 8th gig today, and we’ll have some tickets for the May 9th show the week of the show. Right now, though, we need to know something if you want these tickets…

Last year Spaceland listed Tapes ’N Tapes as “Reel to Reel” on their calendar. Now, assume for a moment that you are the talent buyer for the Cheesecake Factory in Thousand Oaks. (How Cheesecake Factory ended up with a state-of-the-art live performance stage is an altogether separate contest.) Somewhat inexplicably, you have managed to secure Tapes ’N Tapes to play your restaurant, but you must now list the band in a secretive fashion so as not to create undue panic within and around the restaurant. Ideally, you will list two identical words, akin to the actual namesake of the band – a la Spaceland – so that the true fans will know what’s what and turn out accordingly. What shall you name the band on the Thousand Oaks Cheesecake Factory website concert calendar?

Send in your answer now for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the May 8 Troubadour gig, and be sure to include your first and last name. Be advised, all entries are subject to anonymous publishing for the bemusement of the Losanjealous community. For the uninspired or terminally unlucky, tickets to both dates are currently on sale (here and here).

Good luck!

» Did You Know? Tapes ’N Tapes’ sophomore release Walk It Off was produced by Dave Fridmann of Flaming Lips fame – as was CYHSY’s Some Loud Thunder.
