Somebody please let us know how Matthew Sweet is doing these days. Last time I saw him, he was with Susanna Hoffs @ Hotel Cafe singing cover songs. He sort of looked like Uncle Jesse. Then again, Van Dyke Parks was there, and he was dressed like Uncle Jesse (overalls, the works). By the end of it, I couldn’t tell who was out-Jesseing whom, but it really didn’t matter because Susanna looked nothing like Uncle Jesse whatsoever.
