sung, I was glad to see Elbow make your album list.
@Robert: there are quite a few new songs on crystal castles, but i totally agree that it seems a little unfair for an album to include so much previously released material. the mgmt album also contained several previously released songs, different arrangements/mixes, but still the same song. furthermore, mgmt, as well as bon iver and vampire weekend, sold copies of their cds in ’07 at shows. i referred to the record label’s physical release date to determine qualification for ’08. all that aside, good god man, i haven’t seen you in ages.
@Ryan: i almost went to see ‘burn after reading’ just because they used elbow’s ‘grounds for divorce’ in the trailer. guy garvey’s voice is excellent just as on previous recordings, but i think the music is outstanding on the album. can’t wait to see them again.
