The Cure played about 40 min past curfew till the plug was pulled on “Jumping Someone Elses Train”.

“Just past 12:30 a.m. on Monday, the main lights were turned on, …. Then the big screens were shut off and then the lights on the stage were turned on ….
Right after they started “Boys Don’t Cry,” the main speaker was turned-off, but they kept the amps on, on stage.
Once the group finished – Jumping Someone Elses Train – and started in on another – Grinding Halt – the stage amps were turned off at 12:40 a.m. Jason kept playing.” (source)

SO many energy-sapping swampy midtempo 6+ minute dirges. They should have flipped that setlist upside down for the benefit of the 3-day-fatigued non-partisan festival crowd more than likely seeing them for the first time.

poor Elizabeth Taylor. She looks like hell up on stage pretending to play a guitar

Blobert Smith is still wearing that god-awful rat’s nest hair and gross makeup? Girlfriend needs a makeover quick.

I think their set was absolutely brilliant. The new songs sounded incredible, real dreamy and just all around grand, and the classics were just that, classic. I really dug the set and thought it (along with MBVs) was one of the highlights of the festival.
