The Curious Palate, Mar Vista: Cute

One senses that “cute” is the prevailing adjective used when describing this Venice Blvd. place and its food. How much “cute” does for one, if anything, is subjective obviously. On this visit, my cute “Sub Italiano” ($9.95) and cute cold quinoa side salad didn’t do much for me beyond look cute on the plate. The bread was soft, I’ll give them that. A couple of things this place has going for it (besides the aforementioned soft bread and the cuteness) is the self-refillable coffee and access to free open Mar Vista wi-fi.

Nope… No real budget factor going on at this joint. Most of their cute sandwiches up on that cute chalkboard are priced well north of $10.
How “cute” we talking? (Is that a cornishon or a normal-sized pickle…)
