Latin Grammys Head to N.Y.; L.A. Stunned, Outraged

It was announced today that the 2006 Latin Grammy Awards are leaving its regular host city of Los Angeles for New York this Fall. The deal was sealed with the traditional signing of the bongo drums by N.Y. Mayor Micheal Bloomberg.

The full ramifications of the void left by the relocated Latin Grammy Awards from the Los Angeles cultural calendar are yet unknown. Shakira and Jaguares did not respond to calls for comments.
